Here's another take on tuna casserole. It's a little more elaborate, but very , very good. Worth the few extra minutes it takes.
3 cups (6 oz) bowtie pasta
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables-thawed
1 can (9 oz) water packed tuna, drained and flaked
1 can (10 oz) condensed cream of celery soup
4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp dill
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
3 tbl butter or margarine-melted
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees, and spray casserole.
2. Cook pasta and drain.
3. In bowl, combine pasta, vegetables, soup, tuna, cheese, dill, and salt & pepper.
4. Pour into casserole.
5. For the topping: combine melted butter or margarine and bread crumbs, then sprinkle evenly over tuna mixture.
6. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
