I love fritters...usually sweet ones the most. But there are all kinds you can make with this easy batter recipe. Just add what ever you like.
1 cup all purpose flour (**if you use self rising flour then leave out the baking powder & salt)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vegetable oil
oil for frying
1. Easy! combine first six ingredients until mixed well.
2. Add favorite ingredient to batter, example:
shrimp-chopped, also can 1/8 tsp Old Bay Seasoning to batter
corn-canned (drain) is o.k.
apples-chopped....can add cinnamon to batter
3. Fry until golded & cooked through about 3-4 minutes.
***my favorites are the corn fritters with a tsp of sugar added to batter, fried, then while still hot, roll in powdered sugar, yummy!
