My husband loves good onion rings. He's quite the good cook himself and he really loved these.
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbl vegetable oil
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup beer
2 large, sweet onions, sliced
1. Combine flour, salt, pepper, egg, and oil. Gradually whisk in beer.
2. Refrigerate several hours before using for best results.
3. Separate onion rings and dip into batter.
4. Deep fry in batches in 370 degree oil, until golden.
5. Drain on paper towels.
